Choosing A Sound System For Person Hard Of Hearing?
We're trying to find a home theater system solution for a couple who was not happy with the one they had bought at Best Buy 1 month ago.
There are two issues at hand: 1. The husband is hard of hearing/wears a hearing aid and does not find surround sound to be any better than no surround sound. 2. The wires (going to and from the speakers, and in and out of the receiver, etc.) are an isor for the misses.
Thier original system was a Sony, which has S-Air (wireless) capabilities. The folks at Best Buy didn't seem to have anything good to say about wireless speakers, however, so we're not too sure we want them either.
We've considered a wireless headset as an option, but again-wireless is "iffy" to us all right now.
Any experience, recommendations, advice, etc.?

If the husband is hard of hearing, he needs wireless headphones. I bought some Sennheisers for my mom, they let her hear dialog clearly without her hearing aids. And the wireless sound works great, even when in another room. They're also great for listening while vacuuming.
You don't need expensive noise-canceling models. I would recommend the Sennheiser RS140 for the very best sound, or the RS110 if they're on a budget.
